Research programmes of the BSMRAU have
primary
focus on local problems within the National Agricultural
Research System framework. The results of research at BSMRAU are directly applicable to the agricultural
development of the country. The emphasis is placed on
basic research.
The
teachers in various departments are actively involved in
research. The research and related activities of each
department are coordinated by the Research Coordinator.
There are ten research laboratories with modern
sophisticated equipment for conducting both applied and
basic research in agricultural and social sciences.
Additionally, field research facilities and a
meteorological station are available to support research
activities at the University.
