Student Services
Student Counseling
The Director (Student Welfare) provides counseling for students, attends to various types of student welfare and provides information related to student affairs.
Student Dormitory

The student dormitory houses about 260 students, out of which 180 for male students, 60 for female students and 20 for married students. Accommodation for male, female and married students is separate. Recently construction of a dormitory with a capacity of 50 undergraduate students has been completed.

Since BSMRAU is a residential University, every student is expected to stay in the dormitory, subject to availability of accommodation. Dining and recreational facilities, including indoor games, daily newspapers, magazines and audio visual equipment are available in the dormitory. The Provost and Assistant Provost attend to the operation and management of the dormitory matters. The rules and regulation of the dormitory are available in the office of the Provost.

Students are encouraged to reside in the dormitory in order to take advantage of the academic environment in the University campus.

Bus Service
The University provides daily bus service for the students to and from BARI, BRRI and/or Joydebpur every day; and one day (Friday) to DHAKA.
Cafeteria
A cafeteria is available on the campus to supply wholesome food at reasonable prices for students and staff.
Auditorium
A specious air-conditioned auditorium at BSMRAU with a seating capacity of about 160 persons is in frequent use by the faculty and students and for programmes of professional societies and various organizations.
Medical Center
A medical center has been established on the campus to meet the emergency needs of both students and staff.
Student Financial Assistance
Depending on the availability of funds, a few merit scholarships are also provided. The stipend and merit scholarships are awarded for a period of one term and subject to renewal each term contingent upon academic performance, and availability of funds. Financial assistance is provided for not more than 18 months in case of M. S. students and 36 months in case of Ph.D. students. The rules and regulations of stipend and scholarship are available in the academic section of the University.
