About the Department  

The Department offers a graduate programme leading to M.S.  degree.

The Agroforestry and Environment department has major research thrust on identification and improvement of existing agroforestry systems; development of agroforestry modules; agroforestry species evaluation and management; agroforestry components interaction; resource sharing and utilization; soil fertility, productivity and conservation aspects; environmental studies and management; environmental impact assessment; socioeconomic evaluation of agroforestry technologies; diffusion of agroforestry technologies to the farming community; monitoring, evaluation and need assessment of agroforestry technologies over time. Besides, collaborative research with the other national and international institutions are undertaken for the benefits of academic, research and outreach pogrammes of BSMRAU.
